Too Much IMing

I think I've been IMing too much lately. I was thinking about something funny last night and I actually though LOL! I can't believe I did that! I've got to quit typing it so much in my IM messages!!

Whew!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but it's been crazy at work. We moved into a new building this week and things are starting to settle down again. I like the new building and my new workspace. I'm just a little too close to the cafeteria now. Oh well, at least I'm closer to my friends at work now.

Today is Pookiesdad's birthday! Happy Birthday Hon!! Hope you have a great one. Pookie gave him her present this morning and he will get my present Sunday when we celebrate with my family. Tomorrow night we are going to his Dad's house for dinner for his birthday.

My step-sister-in-law and her family finally got the go ahead to move back to Tennessee from her husband's work. Yeah! They will officially leave Colorado on June 6th. They are looking at houses right now. They have found one they really like and I hope it works out for them.

Pookie has an ear infection right now. We took her to the doctor this morning and they gave us some antibiotics. She was so pathetic last night. She felt so bad! She just kept crying and wanting to be held! I felt so bad for her.

I'm looking forward to supper at Pookiesdad's house tomorrow night and lunch with my family on Sunday. Hope Pookiesdad likes his gift. I can't tell you what it is right now, because he reads my blog! I'll let you know what it is after he gets it. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Woo Hoo!!!!!

Well, we did it! We bought a mini-van this weekend! We had an old one (1994) that was already 10 years old when we bought it, so it's really exciting to have one that's only 1 year old. We're going to sell the old one for whatever we can get. It is a silver 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. It has a DVD player with wireless headphones, radio, CD player, tape player, and booster seats built into the middle bench seat. Pookie loves watching Baby Einstein on the DVD player, and no we don't let her watch it every time we get in the van. The built in booster seats will be great in another year or so! They fold up into the seat when not in use. There is a cargo net in between the two front seats and it is great for holding Pookie's toys. There is also a remote to the DVD player. We're loving it so far!

That was the main thing we did this weekend. Mimi came and watched Pookie while we went to look at mini vans. Afterwards Pookie, Mimi, Pookiesdad, and myself rode over to his dad's house (Grandpa John and Grandma Judy) and let them see the van. They gave Pookie a big stuffed pink bunny for Easter. It's really cute! Pookie called Grandpa John - Papa, so I guess we'll change his name to that. She called Grandma Judy - Jujy, so we'll keep calling her Grandma Judy until Pookie comes up with a nickname of her own. There's a possibility that Pookiesdad's stepsister and her family might get to move back to Tennessee soon. Her husband is in talks with his company right now about a possible transfer to Tennessee. I hope it works out for them! A lot of their friends and family are here and I know they would love to come back!

Sunday Mimi left to go home while Pookie was napping. This was not a good thing. After she woke up, Pookie kept crying and calling for Mimi. She's not allowed to leave anymore while Pookie is sleeping. Pookie must see her leave. :)

Easter 2005

It's been so busy lately, that I am just getting around to blogging about Easter and the past couple of weekends. Pookie had a really nice Easter. She got three Easter baskets. One from the Easter Bunny, one from Mommy & Daddy, and one from Mimi, Grandaddy, and Uncle Jeffy. My aunt got her a HUGE stuffed duck that she LOVES, straws, and a bunny book and Nana and Poppy got her a couple of really cute outfits for spring/summer. In her Easter baskets, she got candy, Peeps, First Easter book, Bible animals book, stuffed bunny that sings Jesus Loves Me, little stuffed bunny, Church Music CD's, yellow Peep Easter basket, stuffed pink chick Peep, stuffed duck, stuffed bunny, duck noise maker, and chick purse. The day before Easter Pookie got to do another Easter Egg Hunt. She had a really good time, but ended her hunt a little early in favor of playing on the swing set. The dress that Mimi made her looked AWESOME and she looked like a little angel in it! Ok, so I'm a little biased. This was her first Sunday to go up front for the children's sermon. I went with her and she sat in my lap in the floor. We were at Nana and Poppy's church and they had just gotten a new preacher. After he finished talking to the kids, he gave each of them an Easter stuffed animal. Pookie got a blue stuffed bunny.

Last weekend was my grandmother's (Nana) 80th birthday. We enjoyed helping her celebrate. Pookie has started calling her Uncle Jeffy Jessie. She's too cute! Yesterday after we got home, Pookie and I went out in the backyard to play with Dixie and swing while Daddy mowed the front yard. We had fun and got back inside just in time for the delivery of our pizza. Pookie had gotten where she didn't really eat pizza well, but she ate it really well last night. I guess the last time she ate it she must not have been really hungry.

This weekend Mimi is coming to watch Pookie while Daddy and I go look at mini vans. We hope to come home with one. Then Saturday night Pookiesdad has a poker game and Mimi, Pookie, and I are going to do some shopping and eat out. Then on Sunday, Mimi will go to church with us and eat lunch and then go back home. So, keep your fingers crossed for us and hope we find a good mini van to bring home. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend if I don't get to blog again before then.
