Hump Day

It's Wednesday or "Hump Day". I really wish it was Friday though! Pookie is growing up so fast! It's so hard to believe that in another month she will be 2!!! She is talking great now and can say two or three word sentences. She can also count to 5 in Spanish. I guess she picked this up from watching Dora. Crazy how much they can pick up from just observing!!

A couple of weekends ago my Dad (Grandaddy) had his 60th birthday! We spent the weekend with Mimi and Grandaddy to celebrate. Pookie had so much fun! Every time Grandaddy would come in the house, she would call his name and tell him to come watch her. It was so funny! She even helped him blow the candles on his cake out.

Last weekend was MTSU's homecoming parade. Pookie is a Baby Raider, so she was in the parade. She really enjoyed it and liked watching the rest of the parade after her part was done. Mimi came and walked in the parade with us and spent the night. Honey (my aunt) and Papa (Pookiesdad's Dad) came and they watched her in the parade. Later that night, we learned that Pookie can count to 5 in Spanish!!! She just started doing it all of a sudden out of the blue! We asked the ladies at daycare if that was something they had been working on and they said no. The only thing we can figure is that she learned it from watching Dora The Explorer!!! Mimi went with us to church on Sunday and Pookie picked out a pumpkin at the church's pumpkin patch. We also bought a larger one and I carved it that night. I carved the Tennessee Titan's logo on it. It looks pretty cool when it's lit up.

Tomorrow Pookie is taking snack to school for snack week. They always have "snack week" around all of the holidays. That way everyone gets to bring something in. Pookie is taking a Halloween snack mix that I am making tonight. On Friday, all of the toddler classes at Pookie's daycare are having a potluck supper. We are taking a Halloween ice cream sandwich dessert. Hope everyone enjoys it! Afterwards, we are going to Honey's house for a visit because Mimi and Nana (my grandmother) are spending the weekend with her. We will take Pookie's Halloween costume and let her try it on, because they will not get to see her on Halloween. Then we will get together again with them on Saturday for a while. On Sunday, Papa and Grandma's church is having a Halloween festival and we are going to go to that. Hopefully Pookiesdad's step sister, husband, and daughter will get to come. We still haven't gotten to see their daughter!! Then on Halloween we will just dress Pookie up and go to a few houses on our street and maybe Pookiesdad's aunt and uncle who live nearby.
