Holy Cow!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've updated! A huge thank you and hug goes out to Chandra (Goldberg) for kicking me in the butt and getting me going again. :D Ok, so where to start...

Well, Pookiesdad, Papa, died in July. He had been very sick for a year. It was very sad, but we are glad Pookie had the time with him that she did. On a brighter note, she got to meet and see a lot of her cousins during the week of the funeral. Some of them she had never met before and she really enjoyed playing with all of them.

Pookie finally moved up to the 3 year old class at daycare. She had been in the 1 year old class forever and they finally had a slot open in the 3 year old class which she would be moving up to in the fall anyway, so she skipped the 2 year old class and joined the 3 year olds. She LOVES her class and already has some new friends.

She actually enjoyed the fireworks during the 4th of July this year. We went to the local college and watched the display there. They had games and such for the kids and we ended up running into a friend of mine while we were there, so Pookie had a blast!

By the end of August she was fully potty trained except for at night. She constantly amazes me with the things she says and does. She's such a cutie and is soooo funny!

In August, we went to Atlanta to visit Pookiesdad's sister and her family. Pookie had a great time. We went to the zoo and swam a lot! We got to see the panda. That was so neat!

We have been to Chuck E Cheese several times. Pookie loves it! We always go with a friend of mine and we have so much fun. Next week is the fall children's consignment sale where my parents live. So, we'll go to that and hopefully we'll get lots of clothes for Pookie. We're looking at getting a house or condo/townhouse closer to work, so hopefully something will work out for us in that area in the next year.

On a non-child related note, the new fall tv schedule starts up next week and I am so excited!! Woo hoo! I can't wait for CSI:NY to start back up since they left us haning last season as well as the original CSI. LOST is still my favorite show! It doesn't start until October 4th and that can't come fast enough!!!!!
